Now that we’ve settled in on our new farmstead, I have a goal of saving money by making more food items from scratch. What better place to start than with chocolate syrup? It’s delicious on ice cream, mixed with cold milk or drizzled over fruit and it’s made with only sugar, cocoa and water. Easy!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cocoa
2 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups water

Blend the cocoa and sugar in a saucepan. Stir in water and turn on heat to medium. Bring to a boil and reduce heat, stirring occasionally for five minutes. Cool and store in refrigerator.
(This makes about 3 1/2 cups of sauce so it’ll last a while).
Enjoy!

I've been dreaming about homemade chocolate sauce lately! I saw a recipe a while ago and hadn't taken the time to find it. Now I don't have to 🙂 thanks for sharing!
So simple but so yummy! Please drop me a line on ca4ole@gmail.com if it is ok with you if I link to it on my blog, Carole's Chatter. Cheers
