It was over 1,000 miles from Texas to Iowa hauling children, towing a car then a trailer with horses to find some of our siding and shingles have been blasted off by the high winds, the pasture is choked with weeds, it’ll take several days to get the house back in order, the sheep are desperate to be sheared free of their thick wool, the air conditioner still hasn’t been installed, the lawn is practically long enough to cut for hay but . . .
