With the nice weather comes the grilling season! While we enjoy a good burger, I rarely if ever have hamburger buns on hand. With this easy, yummy, quick recipe, problem solved!
Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons yeast
1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons warm water
1/3 cup oil
1/4 sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon salt
4 to 5 cups flour

In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water and a pinch of sugar. When frothy, add oil and rest of sugar. Let stand five minutes. Add the egg, salt, and flour. Knead until smooth and elastic on a floured surface, about three to five minutes. Immediately divide into 12 pieces and shape each into a ball, pressing down slightly to flatten. Place on a greased baking sheet, a few inches apart. Cover and let rest for ten minutes. Bake at 425F for 8 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from pans to cool on wire racks.
