This recipe is quick to assemble and pretty versatile. It’s always a winner when the kids like it too!
Ingredients:
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup molasses
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup cold water
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
Chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds as garnish (optional)
Lay chicken on the bottom of the crock pot. Whisk together all other ingredients except water, cornstarch and garnish. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on high for four to five hours (or on low for six to eight hours) or until chicken is cooked but not overdone. Remove chicken and shred. Add cornstarch to water and stir until smooth. Add to teriyaki sauce in the slow cooker and let sit for about five minutes or until thickened. Stir in chicken. Serve over rice, on a hamburger bun, etc.
Enjoy!
