Jack requested this rich, sweet heath cake for his 30th birthday. This should not be confused with health cake–that’d be a bit dishonest. But, when you’re entering a new decade of life, a bit of decadence is appropriate. It was not only easy to make, it was delicious. I think we ate it in two days.
Yeah, it’s that good.
Ingredients:
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk (if you’re out, here’s a substitute)
1 (8 ounce) jar caramel topping (or better yet, here’s a homemade recipe!)
1 (8 ounce) whipped topping, thawed
1 bag Health candy crumbles
Prepared and bake chocolate cake according to package directions. When baked, remove from oven and wait five minutes, then poke holes in the cake (try using the handle of a wooden spoon). Cool completely then drizzle sweetened condensed milk over entire cake, making sure to pour liberally into holes. Then drizzle caramel on top, also pouring into the holes. Spread the whipped topping over the entire cake and sprinkle with Heath candy bits. Store in fridge until ready to eat.
Enjoy!
