Every New Year, I like to set goals for the upcoming year and review how the past year went. 2020 wasn’t exactly conducive to keeping the goal I’d set since so many things were closed/derailed/canceled/etc (and we had a lot of unexpected surprises in our family, for better or worse), but you know what? That’s okay. I do not for one second think that NOT making goals is the answer–if I don’t write things down and make a plan to accomplish them, I’ll forget all about my ambitions. Goals keep me on track for what I’d like to do aside from unscheduled rest, relaxation, and fun with my family. I think the answer to a year that might not have been as successful in achieving goals is to be at peace with things not going as planned. Despite not finishing a lot of my goals, 2020 was still fulfilling, interesting, full of adventure, and stuffed with accomplishments. Plus, it makes me want to push myself to see what I can accomplish in 2021. 😉 I’d love to hear what some of your goals are in 2021!
