I learned how to make these several years ago and still enjoy baking them once in a while. They’re a crowd favorite, especially with kids. Plus, they only require a few ingredients and bake up quickly.
Here’s How:

1 package Devil’s Food Cake Mix
2 eggs
3/4 cup shortening
Preheat oven to 325F. Mix all ingredients together until a thick dough forms. Roll into small, uniform balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 8 minutes or until the tops start to crinkle.
When cool, put two together with cream cheese frosting. You could use store bought but I’d suggest a simple, much more delicious (and homemade!) cream cheese frosting recipe.
Don’t forget to make an even amount or you’ll have to eat the spare. Tragic, I know.
