Today I gave myself the monumental task of tidying up our tools. The most time consuming part wasn’t lugging the heavy machinery out and lining it up in the closet. It was sorting all of the hardware we’ve collected the last few years. There are boxes of common nails, finishing nails, course drywall screws, masonry screws, sinker nails, hex head bolts, wire nuts . . . obviously more than I care to keep track of. Thankfully, a friend not only suggested, but also provided several of my first peanut butter jars as storage for these tiny nails, screws, and more. Peanut butter, mayonnaise, Parmesan, etc jars are great for craft supplies too like beads, glue sticks, elastic, buttons and so on.
So the next time you’re going to toss out or recycle an empty, lidded, plastic jar, upcyle it into an easy storage solution.

Daniel uses PB jars to organize his work stuff (nails, screws, etc) and swears by them! I thought it was weird but now I'm glad to know that others do this too!
It's such a great idea, I wish someone would have told me earlier! It's recycling and organizing at it's best!
