This recipe was invented to correct a mistake and thankfully turned out quite tasty and pleasantly unique. The cream cheese is incorporated right into the mix (no swirl, just cream cheese added right to the chocolate!) and the sweetened condensed milk makes the crust nice and crunchy and the insides so fudgy. Be sure to enjoy with a tall glass of milk.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter
8 oz cream cheese
1 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
1/4 to 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
4 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt together in a small bowl. In a large saucepan, melt the butter and cream cheese.
Pour batter into a greased 13×9 pan or two 9×9 inch pans (then you can give one away to avoid eating an entire pan of brownies, haha!). Bake at 350F for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
