Jack has been dying to take the train back to Nebraska. He insists it’s a fun, easy and economical way to travel. I think it’s more expensive, takes twice the time and upon arrival at our destination, we’d be van-less. But, in true Jack fashion, once he gets an idea, he tries his best to run with it. He casually leaves Amtrack ticket prices on the computer screen for me to see, recruits others to try and convince me how relaxing a train ride would be and the other day, he fixed the girls’ train and built one around the Christmas tree.
Clearly, a not-so-subliminal message just for me.
