The girls have become more and more interested in cooking so I’ve been searching for easy yet delicious recipes that they can help me with. These fit the bill! They went well as a side to soup and had everyone asking for seconds!
Ingredients:
Biscuits
2 cups flour (you may need to adjust, depending on how moist your dough is)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
1 cup shredded cheddar
3/4 cup cold milk
Butter Topping
3 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 425F. In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in cheese. Mix in cold milk until just combined. Drop biscuits onto a nonstick baking sheet or one lined with baking mats or parchment paper. Make butter topping by stirring together the ingredients, then lightly brushing each roll. Any extra may be used after baking. Place in oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until browned lightly on the bottom. Remove and serve warm.
