My brother made some homemade ranch seasoning packets as an adult stocking stuffer, and ever since then, our whole family has been obsessed with the stuff. As a powder, its delicious on everything from chicken to pork chips to fish to popcorn. As a creamy dressing, it does wonders for salads, crackers, and veggies alike. And as a super quick recipe, it packs a punch. Who knew so much yum could come from something so simple?

For the dry Ranch Dip Mix:
1/4 cup onion powder
1/4 cup dried chives (if you don’t have dried, you can substitute with fresh, though they’ll definitely be stronger)
3 tablespoons salt
2 Tablespoons garlic powder
1 Tablespoon sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 teaspoon dried dill
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Combine all ingredients. Store in an airtight container if not using immediately.

For Ranch salad dressing:
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon dry powdered ranch seasoning, or to taste

Mix all wet ingredients together until smooth. Season with ranch powder, about 1 teaspoon. Serve over salad, with veggies, on pretzels, or any of your other favorite dishes.

Enjoy!
